Worn Out

Shadowfax was plain worn out yesterday afternoon.  She had spent the better part of four hours in the window, watching me work in the garden and mow the lawn. Too much direct supervising can make even the hardiest of managers weary.  Shadowfax eventually ceased her micromanaging and succumbed to a sprawling nap with her head flopped under the desk.
We aren't too far behind.  In the past few weeks we've been busy around and off the homestead.  We attended the Mother Earth News Fair in West Bend, Wisconsin and got some great information - more on this in a later post, and stopped at a few other places across the Upper Midwest.
There are so many stories and pictures to share, we've got to get ourselves in gear and relay all the information to you, our glorious readers.  More to come.

The Mother Earth News would be nice to visit. Your dog looks dog-tired. All your work tired Shadowfax out.

Thanks Donna! It was a really cool Fair and I would strongly recommend it to anyone mildly interested in those sorts of things. We'll definitely be going back in future years...and we'll post some stories and pictures about this trip shortly.

What? A trip to Wisconsin and no visit to the ol' quarry here? Sigh. You were SO close. Ok, a hundred miles, give or take, but still. Next time?

Karen - I know, we were so close. I really wanted to see this incredible garden I've been seeing on the Internet for so many years. I know that any excuse at this point is pretty weak sauce, but we were stretched for time pretty tightly and it would have been a few hours to get to you. We would have loved to come by and are absolutely going to visit, eventually...
